Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need Wi-Fi or an app?
No. Codes are programmed at the keypad and stored in the lock. That is why the battery lasts up to three years.
Can this be keyed to match my existing house key?
Yes. This lock uses a Kwikset KW1 keyway with SmartKey, so if your current locks take a Kwikset key we can re-key it to match in a few minutes — at installation, or in the shop before it ships. If your home uses Schlage keys, ask us about options before ordering.
