Lock rekeying changes the pins inside an existing lock cylinder so old keys stop working while the lock hardware stays in place. It is often the right choice after moving into a new home, losing a key, or changing who should have access.
Rekeying can also help after a contractor, tenant, roommate, or previous owner may still have a key. We can check compatible exterior locks — including front, back, and garage-entry doors — and discuss whether they can be keyed alike so one key works across the home.
Before work begins, we look at the doors and lock types, explain the difference between rekeying, repair, and replacement, and provide a quote. After the work, we test the new keys and each serviced lock so you know what works and which old keys no longer do.
