Add convenient, connected access to your home with the Yale Assure Lock 2. This keyed-entry smart deadbolt allows access by keypad, Yale Access app, Apple Watch, Auto‑Unlock, or compatible voice assistants.

Built-in Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth let you lock or unlock remotely, create and manage entry codes, receive activity notifications, and monitor who comes and goes. Auto‑Lock can engage after DoorSense® confirms the door is closed.

Designed to replace most standard U.S. and Canadian deadbolts. Fits doors 1⅜"–2¼" thick and supports 2⅜" or 2¾" backsets. Requires four AA batteries and a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network for remote access.

Why we carry it

This is the lock we recommend when someone asks for "the one that works with everything." Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in, it supports Apple HomeKit as well as Alexa and Google, and the Yale Access app is the best of the bunch. DoorSense is the feature people end up loving: a small sensor on the frame tells the lock whether the door is actually shut, so auto-lock never throws the bolt into an open door frame.

It still has a proper key cylinder as backup — some Assure models do not — and Yale backs the electronics for two years, twice what most residential smart locks get. It is the most expensive smart lock we sell, and for a busy front door it is worth it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with Apple HomeKit?

Yes. The Assure Lock 2 supports HomeKit, so you can control it from the Home app, Siri and an Apple Watch, alongside Alexa and Google Home.

What is DoorSense?

A small magnet sensor mounted on the door frame. The lock uses it to know whether the door is open or closed, so auto-lock waits until the door is actually shut and the app can tell you the door was left open, not just unlocked.

Can it be keyed to my existing key?

It uses a standard Kwikset KW1 five-pin cylinder. If your other locks take a Kwikset key we can re-key it to match at installation. It does not use SmartKey, so re-keying is done with pins rather than the SmartKey tool.
